Genre : Culinary Arts

Description :

A timed cooking competition. Participants will be given a fixed pantry and theme around which they have to base their dish. Each team will cook any two dishes of their choice.

Time Limit :

2 hours

Rules :

  1. Each team is required to prep, cook, and present two dishes in 120 minutes.

  2. A theme would be announced along with the ingredient list one month prior to the event.

  3. Ingredients will include basic household ingredients.

  4. Every team can suggest one extra ingredient to be added to the list - which will be made available for everyone. It can be mailed to an email ID which would be provided later.

  5. The ingredient must be a raw material.

  6. Participants will be given 15 minutes to browse through the ingredients before the competition.

  7. This will be an induction-stove based cooking event. Each team will be provided with one stove.

Penalty :

  • Exceeding the time limit will cause deduction of 5 marks per minute.
  • Use of any personal ingredient will result in disqualification.

Judging Criteria :

  • Taste - 40%
  • Presentation - 20%
  • Adherence to Theme - 15%
  • Creativity and Skill - 25%
